The support of MLA cum RJD district president Manoj Yadav, who was walking with him step by step till yesterday, also seems to have left him. Motihari police is desperately searching for the mayor’s husband cum RJD leader Deva Gupta.
Actually, last year in Chakia, a contractor named Rajiv Yadav was shot dead by criminals in broad daylight. Then the deceased had allegedly named the mayor’s husband before dying, after which case number 301/23 was registered in Chakia police station against the mayor’s husband and others. The shooter and others have been arrested in the murder case, but the mayor’s husband has not been arrested. Regarding this, the family of the deceased contractor filed a criminal writ petition in the High Court. After that Motihari SP had to respond in the High Court. Then as soon as he returned, a raid was conducted at the mayor’s husband’s house.
